Publication Ethics Statement

Jurnal Ekselenta – Jurnal Ilmiah Fakultas Teknik is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal expects authors, reviewers, and editors to act responsibly, transparently, and professionally throughout the publication process.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The submitted manuscript is original.
  • The work has not been published elsewhere or submitted simultaneously to another journal.
  • All authors who made significant contributions are appropriately listed.
  • All authors have approved the submitted manuscript.
  • Sources and previous research are properly acknowledged and cited.
  • Data and research findings are reported honestly and accurately.
  • Any potential conflicts of interest are disclosed.
  • Appropriate ethical approval is obtained where required.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Conduct reviews objectively and professionally.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts.
  • Identify relevant published work that has not been properly cited.
  • Declare any potential conflict of interest.
  • Avoid using information obtained during peer review for personal or professional advantage.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

  • Evaluating manuscripts fairly and objectively.
  • Maintaining confidentiality throughout the editorial process.
  • Selecting appropriate reviewers.
  • Managing conflicts of interest.
  • Supporting academic integrity and publication quality.
  • Making editorial decisions based on the scientific quality, relevance, and originality of the manuscript.

Misconduct

Jurnal Ekselenta does not tolerate plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, or other forms of academic misconduct.

When an ethical concern or suspected misconduct is identified, the journal may conduct an appropriate investigation and take corrective action when necessary.
