Plagiarism Policy

Jurnal Ekselenta – Jurnal Ilmiah Fakultas Teknik considers plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct unacceptable.

Authors must ensure that manuscripts represent their own original work and that all ideas, statements, data, figures, and other materials derived from previous sources are properly acknowledged and cited.

Similarity Checking

Submitted manuscripts may be subjected to similarity checking as part of the editorial screening process.

A similarity report is used as an initial screening tool and does not automatically determine whether a manuscript contains plagiarism. The editorial team may examine the context and sources identified in the similarity report before making an editorial decision.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for:

  • Properly citing all sources;
  • Avoiding unattributed copying;
  • Clearly identifying quotations;
  • Properly paraphrasing previously published material; and
  • Ensuring that the manuscript does not contain duplicate or redundant publication.

Editorial Action

If plagiarism or significant academic misconduct is identified, the journal may reject the manuscript or take appropriate corrective action in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.
