Peer Review Process
Peer Review Policy
Jurnal Ekselenta – Jurnal Ilmiah Fakultas Teknik applies a rigorous peer-review process to evaluate the scientific quality, originality, relevance, and methodological soundness of submitted manuscripts.
The journal uses a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential during the review process.
Editorial Screening
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess:
- Relevance to the journal's aims and scope;
- Compliance with the journal template and basic requirements;
- Originality and academic quality;
- Completeness of the manuscript;
- Overall suitability for peer review.
Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's basic requirements or fall outside its scope may be returned or rejected without external review.
Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are sent to qualified reviewers with relevant expertise.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
- Originality and significance;
- Scientific contribution;
- Research methodology;
- Validity of analysis;
- Quality of discussion;
- Clarity and organization;
- Quality of references; and
- Relevance to the journal's scope.
Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' recommendations and the editor's assessment, a manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:
- Accept;
- Minor Revision;
- Major Revision; or
- Reject.
Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts and respond appropriately to reviewer comments.
The final publication decision is made by the editorial team based on the overall quality of the manuscript and the peer-review results.
