Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing dominance of Generation Z in the workforce and the challenges organizations face in enhancing employee engagement in the era of digital transformation, particularly in the Sukabumi region. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of digital leadership and work environment on employee engagement among Generation Z employees in Sukabumi. This research employed a quantitative associative approach using purposive sampling techniques involving 100 Generation Z employees as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed that digital leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement, with a t-value of 5.216 and a significance value of 0.001. The work environment also has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement, with a t-value of 28.198 and a significance value of 0.001. Simultaneously, digital leadership and work environment significantly influence employee engagement, with an F-value of 450.054 and a coefficient of determination of 90.5%. This study contributes to the development of human resource management knowledge and serves as a consideration for organizations in improving employee engagement through the implementation of digital leadership and the creation of a conducive work environment for Generation Z employees.
